HARLEQUIN SHEEP

Harlequin sheep were developed 35 years ago by Kathleen Sterling, owner of Black Sheep Farm East in Virginia. A variety of breeds were used to develop the harlequin breed including Montadale, Romney, Lincoln, Border Leicester, Tunis, Corriedale, Karakul and Southdown rams.

They are a rare breed and are known for their color, small build, laid back personality and hardiness. They are naturally polled and are known to have blue eyes.

We absolutely adore our girls. They are so friendly and curious! Our girls are Buckles, Arpeggio, Janie & Bridget. We are looking forward to next year when the girls will meet our Babydoll rams, Hemlock and Doby! We have will wait until next breeding season to ensure they are fully grown and well developed.
